This is a free-to-enter Ghost Coat photography competition. The competition is open to UK residents aged 13 or over. Entrants aged 13 to 17 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian before entering. Download the Parent or Guardian Consent Form if required.
Stage 1 is open to all eligible entrants and runs on Instagram and Facebook. Entrants follow @ghostcoat.io and tag @ghostcoat.io in each post they wish to submit. Each tagged post is treated as a separate entry. Stage 1 runs from 09:00 on 13th May 2026 to 23:59 on 12th July 2026.
An independent judging panel will shortlist up to approximately 50 photographers and invite them to take part in Stage 2. Each Stage 2 photographer will receive a promotional Ghost Coat product to use for the final creative brief. Once the required Stage 2 photographs have been completed and submitted in accordance with the rules, the Ghost Coat product is theirs to keep.
Stage 2 runs from 00:00 on 13th July 2026 to 23:59 on 31st July 2026. The final winner will be selected by an independent judging panel from the eligible Stage 2 submissions and will receive one Apple iPhone 17 Pro as the main prize.
In addition to the main prize, the winner will be offered a paid creative commission, comprising a brief-led photographic engagement running August and September 2026, paid at an agreed rate on completion. The commission is a separate opportunity offered to the winner and is not part of the prize. Full details are set out in Clause 21.
Entrants keep the copyright in their photographs. By entering, they grant Planet B Limited permission to use their submitted images perpetually, worldwide and royalty-free for Ghost Coat and Planet B marketing. Entrants are welcome to share their submitted images on their own social media, websites and portfolios. However, images featuring Ghost Coat products, packaging, logos or branding must not be sold, licensed or commercially supplied to another company, competitor, stock library or third party without Planet B Limited’s written permission.
If an image includes recognisable people, the entrant must have their permission. If any recognisable person in the image is under 18, the entrant must have permission from that person’s parent or legal guardian. Download the Model Permission and Image Release Form if required.

The competition runs in two stages. Stage 1 is open to all eligible entrants via Instagram and Facebook. Up to approximately 50 entrants will be shortlisted and invited to take part in Stage 2. The final winner will be selected from the eligible Stage 2 submissions.
The main prize is one Apple iPhone 17 Pro. The winner will be selected by an independent judging panel and will not be selected at random.
Plain English: This is a judged photography competition, not a random prize draw. The winner is chosen based on the quality and suitability of the images.
3. Free Entry
There is no purchase necessary to enter this competition. No payment is required to enter, and entrants will not be required to pay to claim the prize.
Entrants are responsible for any normal costs associated with creating, uploading or submitting their entry, such as internet access, photography equipment, mobile data, props, travel or other production costs.
Plain English: You do not have to buy anything or pay anything to enter. If you choose to spend money taking your photo, that is your choice and responsibility.
4. Eligibility
The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 13 or over.
Entrants aged 13 to 17 may enter only with the prior consent of their parent or legal guardian. By allowing an entrant aged 13 to 17 to enter, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the entrant and agrees to the licence, permissions, publicity, prize acceptance and data protection provisions set out in these Terms and Conditions.
Entrants under the age of 13 are not eligible to enter.
Employees, directors, officers, contractors, agents or immediate family members of Planet B Limited, Ghost Coat, or any agency or business directly connected with the administration of this competition are not eligible to enter.
Planet B Limited reserves the right to require entrants to provide proof of identity, age, eligibility and, where applicable, parent or legal guardian consent.
Plain English: You can enter if you are 13 or over and live in the UK. If you are 13 to 17, your parent or guardian must agree before you enter. Under-13s cannot enter.
5. Parent or Guardian Consent for Entrants Aged 13 to 17
If an entrant is aged 13 to 17, they must have permission from their parent or legal guardian before entering the competition.
The parent or legal guardian must agree that the entrant may take part, submit photographs, grant the licence to Planet B Limited, be contacted about the competition, and, if selected as winner, accept the prize through the parent or guardian. The parent or legal guardian also agrees to the entrant’s name, social media handle, general location and submitted photograph being used for winner announcement and reasonable competition publicity.
Planet B Limited may require written parent or legal guardian consent before accepting an entry, shortlisting an entry, publishing an entry, announcing a winner or awarding the prize.
If a winner is aged 13 to 17, Planet B Limited may require the parent or legal guardian to confirm acceptance of the prize and provide delivery details. The prize will be dispatched to the parent or legal guardian on behalf of the winner.
Plain English: If you are 13 to 17, your parent or guardian needs to agree to your entry and to the way your photo may be used. If you win, we may ask your parent or guardian to accept the prize for you.
6. Competition Period
Stage 1 opens at 09:00 on 13th May 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 12th July 2026.
Stage 2 opens at 00:00 on 13th July 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 31st July 2026.
Entries received after the applicable closing date will not be accepted.
Planet B Limited may extend, suspend, cancel or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so due to circumstances outside its reasonable control.
Plain English: Entries must be submitted before the deadline for each stage. We may need to change the dates if something outside our control happens.
7. How to Enter: Stage 1
To enter Stage 1, entrants must:
- follow @ghostcoat.io on Instagram or Facebook; and
- tag @ghostcoat.io in any post they wish to submit as an entry.
Each tagged post is treated as a separate entry. Multiple submissions are permitted.
Each entry must include a clear image. Planet B Limited may also request the entrant’s full name, email address and any other information reasonably required to administer the competition or verify eligibility.
Automated entries, entries submitted through agents, and entries which are incomplete, corrupted, duplicated, fraudulent or otherwise not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions may be rejected.
Plain English: Follow @ghostcoat.io and tag us in each photo you want to submit. Each tagged post counts as one entry. We may reject entries that are fake, automated, incomplete or do not follow the rules.
8. Stage 2: Final Creative Brief
Entrants shortlisted from Stage 1 will be invited to take part in Stage 2 by completing a private Google Form, providing postal address details and confirming acceptance of Stage 2 entry terms. Where an entrant is aged 13 to 17, parental or guardian consent must be confirmed at this stage. The Parent or Guardian Consent Form can be downloaded here.
Each shortlisted entrant will receive one promotional Ghost Coat product, dispatched by Planet B Limited, for the purpose of creating photographs for Stage 2. The product is supplied free of charge.
Each shortlisted entrant must submit one final entry set comprising:
- a minimum of four original photographs showing the product in real-world contexts (for example: street, home, commute, social); and
- a minimum of two product hero shots, including at least one showing product application.
The shortlisted entrant may keep the Ghost Coat product after they have completed and submitted the required Stage 2 photographs in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. If a shortlisted entrant receives the product and does not submit a qualifying Stage 2 entry before the Stage 2 closing date, Planet B Limited reserves the right to request the return of the product or to invoice the entrant for its retail value.
After Stage 2 closes, an independent judging panel will review the eligible Stage 2 submissions and select one overall winner. The winner will receive the main prize as described in Clause 20.
Plain English: If you are shortlisted, we will send you a Ghost Coat product. You must submit at least four real-world photos and two hero shots to keep it. The final winner is selected from Stage 2 submissions.
9. Entry Requirements
Each submitted photograph must be the entrant’s own original work and must not infringe the copyright, trade marks, privacy rights, publicity rights, moral rights or other rights of any person or organisation.
Entries must not contain unlawful, offensive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, discriminatory, hateful or otherwise inappropriate content. Entries must not promote illegal activity.
Entries must not include third-party logos, trade marks, branded products or copyrighted material unless the entrant has all necessary rights and permissions.
Planet B Limited reserves the right to reject or remove any entry that it reasonably considers unsuitable, unlawful, offensive, misleading, infringing, manipulated in a deceptive way, or otherwise inconsistent with the Ghost Coat brand.
Plain English: Only submit your own work. Do not include anything you do not have permission to use. We can reject entries that are unsuitable, offensive, infringing or damaging to the brand.
10. Use of Artificial Intelligence and Editing
Photographs may be edited using standard photographic editing techniques such as cropping, colour correction, retouching, exposure correction and sharpening.
Entries must not be wholly generated by artificial intelligence. Submissions that are AI-generated will be disqualified.
Where AI tools, generative fill, compositing or substantial digital manipulation have been used in part, entrants must disclose this when submitting the image. Planet B Limited may reject any entry where the level of editing, manipulation or AI use is inconsistent with the competition brief or could mislead viewers.
Plain English: Normal photo editing is fine. Fully AI-generated images are not allowed. If you use AI tools or heavy editing, tell us.
11. People Featured in Images
If a submitted photograph includes any identifiable person, the entrant warrants that they have obtained all necessary permissions, consents and releases from that person to take the photograph, submit it to the competition, and allow Planet B Limited to use it for the purposes set out in these Terms and Conditions. The Model Permission and Image Release Form can be downloaded here.
If any identifiable person in the photograph is under 18, the entrant must have written permission from that person’s parent or legal guardian before submitting the photograph. The Parent or Guardian Consent Form can be downloaded here.
Planet B Limited may request written evidence of any model release, consent or permission at any time. If satisfactory evidence is not provided, the entry may be rejected or removed.
Plain English: If someone appears in your photo, you need their permission. If they are under 18, you need permission from their parent or guardian.
12. Property, Locations and Permissions
If a photograph is taken on private property, in a private venue, at an event, or in any location where permission is required, the entrant warrants that they have obtained all necessary permissions to take, submit and allow use of the photograph.
Entrants must not trespass, breach venue rules, endanger themselves or others, or act unlawfully in creating an entry.
Plain English: Do not break rules or trespass to get a photo. Make sure you have permission where permission is needed.
13. Ghost Coat Trade Marks and Brand Assets
Ghost Coat, the Ghost Coat logo, Ghost Coat product packaging, product design, brand imagery, trade dress, product likenesses and associated brand assets are owned by or licensed to Planet B Limited.
Entry into the competition does not grant entrants any licence or right to use the Ghost Coat name, logo, trade marks, product likenesses, packaging or brand assets except for the limited purpose of creating and submitting an entry to the competition and sharing their own submitted entry in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Entrants must not use Ghost Coat trade marks, logos, products, packaging or brand assets in a way that suggests endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, approval or affiliation with Planet B Limited or Ghost Coat, unless expressly authorised in writing.
Plain English: Ghost Coat owns its brand, logo and product identity. You can use them in your competition entry and share your own entry, but you cannot suggest we have endorsed or partnered with you unless we have agreed that in writing.
14. Copyright Ownership
Entrants retain copyright in their submitted photographs. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions transfers copyright ownership in an entrant’s photograph to Planet B Limited.
Plain English: You keep the copyright in your photo. We are not taking ownership of your work.
15. Licence Granted to Planet B Limited
By entering the competition, each entrant grants Planet B Limited a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, crop, resize, edit, adapt, retouch, overlay text or graphics on, communicate to the public and otherwise use their submitted photograph, in whole or in part, for the purposes of:
- administering and judging the competition;
- announcing and promoting the competition and its results;
- marketing and promoting Ghost Coat and Planet B Limited; and
- use on websites, social media, email marketing, digital advertising, press releases, presentations, printed materials, retail materials and other marketing channels.
This licence is granted without any further payment, royalty or approval requirement.
Planet B Limited will use reasonable efforts to credit the photographer where practical, but failure to provide credit shall not prevent Planet B Limited from using the photograph in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Plain English: You keep your copyright, but by entering you give us permission to use your photo forever, anywhere in the world, for Ghost Coat and Planet B marketing, without paying royalties. We may share your images with trusted agencies and partners where needed to deliver marketing activity. We will try to credit you where practical.
16. Entrant Sharing and Self-Promotion
Planet B Limited encourages entrants to share their submitted photographs on their own social media channels, websites and portfolios, provided that such sharing:
- does not suggest endorsement, sponsorship, partnership or affiliation beyond participation in the competition;
- does not damage the reputation of Ghost Coat or Planet B Limited;
- does not misrepresent the competition, the product or the brand;
- does not breach these Terms and Conditions; and
- includes any competition tags, handles or notices reasonably requested by Planet B Limited.
Plain English: We want you to share your photo. Post it on social media, your website and your portfolio. Just do not make it look like you are officially endorsed by us unless we have agreed that.
17. Restriction on Commercial Exploitation of Ghost Coat-Branded Images
Where a submitted photograph includes, depicts or is based on any Ghost Coat product, packaging, logo, trade mark, brand asset or other distinctive Ghost Coat branding, the entrant must not, without the prior written consent of Planet B Limited:
- sell the photograph or license it to any third party;
- assign or transfer commercial usage rights in the photograph;
- submit the photograph to stock image libraries;
- use the photograph in paid advertising for any third party;
- use the photograph to promote any competing product or service; or
- authorise any third party to do any of the above.
This restriction includes, without limitation, licensing or supplying any such photograph for use in connection with screen protection, mobile accessories, device repair, device insurance, consumer electronics, retail, telecoms or any competing product or service.
This restriction does not prevent entrants from sharing the photograph on their own non-commercial social media channels, websites or portfolios in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Plain English: You can share your Ghost Coat photo to promote your own work, but you cannot sell or license a photo featuring our product, packaging or logo to another company, stock library, competitor or commercial third party without our written permission.
18. Moral Rights
Each entrant irrevocably waives, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any moral rights they may have in their submitted photograph under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (including the right of integrity under section 80 and the right to be identified as author under section 77) to the extent necessary to allow Planet B Limited to use, edit, crop, resize, adapt or publish the photograph in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
This waiver applies in favour of Planet B Limited, its successors, assigns, licensees, partners and any agency or supplier authorised to use the photograph on its behalf.
Planet B Limited will not knowingly use a submitted photograph in a derogatory or intentionally misleading way.
Plain English: We may need to crop or edit images to fit social posts, adverts, website banners or other formats. You agree not to assert moral rights in a way that would prevent us doing that. We will not deliberately use your image in a way that misrepresents or degrades your work.
19. Judging Criteria
The winner and the Stage 2 shortlisted entrants will be selected by an independent judging panel appointed by Planet B Limited. Entries will be assessed on:
- creativity and originality;
- composition and visual impact;
- technical quality;
- relevance to the competition brief; and
- suitability for Ghost Coat brand and marketing use.
The judging panel’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
Plain English: The shortlisted photographers and final winner will be chosen by judges, not by chance. We will look at creativity, quality, composition, relevance and how well the image fits the Ghost Coat brand.
20. Prize
Main prize
The main prize is one Apple iPhone 17 Pro. Storage capacity and colour will be confirmed by Planet B Limited at the time of winner notification. In keeping with Planet B Limited’s commitment to device circularity, the prize may be a certified grade A refurbished Apple iPhone 17 Pro of equivalent specification.
The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative is available.
The prize does not include accessories, insurance, data plans, subscriptions, apps, cloud storage, repairs, replacement or delivery duties unless expressly stated.
The prize will be dispatched within 14 days of the winner confirming their delivery address, to a UK address only.
Planet B Limited bears no responsibility for prizes that are lost, damaged or stolen in transit once dispatched.
If the winner is under 18 at the time of prize acceptance, the prize will be dispatched to the parent or legal guardian who provided consent, who will be responsible for handing it to the winner.
Planet B Limited reserves the right to substitute the prize with an alternative of equal or greater value if the specified prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside Planet B Limited’s reasonable control.
Stage 2 promotional product
Each shortlisted Stage 2 entrant will receive one promotional Ghost Coat product to use for photography purposes. The Stage 2 promotional product is not transferable, has no cash alternative and is supplied for the purpose of completing the Stage 2 creative brief. The entrant may keep the product after submitting a qualifying Stage 2 entry in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. See Clause 8 for the return and invoicing provision.
Plain English: The iPhone 17 Pro is the main prize. The Ghost Coat product is supplied to shortlisted photographers for the final brief and can be kept once qualifying images are submitted.
21. Commission Opportunity for the Winner
In addition to the main prize, the winner will be offered a paid creative commission. This commission is a separate opportunity offered to the winner alongside the prize and does not form part of the prize.
The commission comprises a brief-led photographic engagement running during August and September 2026, under which the winner will produce a volume of photographic content for Ghost Coat as directed by Planet B Limited. The commission fee will be negotiated directly with the winner, payable on satisfactory completion of the agreed deliverables.
The detailed terms of the commission, including output expectations, deliverables, payment mechanism, intellectual property assignment and termination provisions, are set out in a separate creator agreement. The winner will be required to sign that agreement before any commissioned work begins.
Refusal to sign the creator agreement, or inability to agree its terms, does not forfeit the main prize. The iPhone 17 Pro will be awarded to the winner regardless of whether they choose to accept the commission.
If the winner is under 18, the creator agreement must be countersigned by their parent or legal guardian.
Plain English: As well as the iPhone, we will offer the winner a two-month paid photography commission. This is a separate opportunity, not part of the prize. If you do not want to take it up or cannot agree the terms, you still keep the phone.
22. Winner Notification
The winner will be notified by direct message or email within 7 days of the Stage 2 closing date.
The winner must respond within 7 days of notification to confirm their acceptance and provide delivery details.
If the winner does not respond within that period, is ineligible, cannot accept the prize, or has breached these Terms and Conditions, Planet B Limited reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the eligible Stage 2 submissions.
Plain English: If you win, we will contact you. You need to reply within 7 days. If you do not, we may choose another winner.
23. Winner Announcement
Planet B Limited may publish the winner’s name, social media handle, submitted photograph and general location (such as county or city) for the purposes of announcing the winner and promoting the competition.
Where the winner is under 18, Planet B Limited will omit location details from any public announcement and will seek confirmation from the parent or legal guardian before publishing the winner’s name or image.
Entrants agree that, if they win, Planet B Limited may use their name, social media handle and submitted photograph in reasonable publicity relating to the competition.
Plain English: If you win, we may announce your name, social handle and winning photo. For under-18 winners, we will keep location details private and check with your parent or guardian before publishing anything.
24. Verification and Disqualification
Planet B Limited reserves the right to verify any entry, entrant, consent, permission, model release or eligibility information at any stage of the competition.
Planet B Limited may disqualify any entrant who:
- breaches these Terms and Conditions;
- submits false, misleading or incomplete information;
- infringes third-party rights;
- submits an image they did not create;
- submits an AI-generated image;
- submits an image that has been previously published commercially;
- acts fraudulently, unlawfully or abusively;
- attempts to manipulate or interfere with the competition; or
- damages or is likely to damage the reputation of Ghost Coat or Planet B Limited.
Plain English: We can check entries and remove anyone who breaks the rules, submits someone else’s work, uses AI-generated images, lies, acts unfairly or damages the brand.

Parental or guardian data collected in connection with under-18 entries will be used only to verify consent and administer prize delivery and will not be used for marketing without separate consent.
Retention
Personal data will be held for the duration of the competition plus 12 months following the competition close date, after which it will be deleted, unless the entrant has separately opted in to ongoing marketing communications from Ghost Coat, in which case standard Ghost Coat retention periods apply.
Your rights
Data subjects have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of their personal data, and the right to data portability, in accordance with applicable law. To exercise any of these rights, please contact Planet B Limited at boo@ghostcoat.io.

We will not sell your data. For under-18 entrants, we need parental consent. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
26. Platform Terms
Where the competition is promoted or entered through Instagram, Facebook or any other third-party platform, entrants must also comply with that platform’s terms of use, community guidelines and rules.
Planet B Limited is not responsible for any action taken by a third-party platform, including removal of posts, suspension of accounts, technical failures or changes to platform functionality.
Plain English: If you enter or share through social media, you also need to follow that platform’s rules.
27. Liability
Planet B Limited will not be responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, misdirected, incomplete or not received due to technical issues, internet failure, platform failure, equipment failure or any other reason outside its reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to the above, Planet B Limited shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense arising from participation in the competition or acceptance of the prize, except where caused by Planet B Limited’s breach of these Terms and Conditions or negligence.
Plain English: We are not responsible for technical problems or entries that do not reach us. We do not exclude liability where the law says we cannot.
28. Tax and Personal Responsibility
The winner is responsible for any tax, reporting obligation or other personal cost that may arise from accepting the prize or the commission.
Entrants are responsible for ensuring that participation in the competition does not breach any legal, employment, contractual, professional or other obligation that applies to them.
Plain English: If accepting the prize or commission creates any tax or personal obligation for you, that is your responsibility.
29. Cancellation, Suspension or Amendment
Planet B Limited reserves the right to cancel, suspend, amend or withdraw the competition where it becomes necessary to do so due to circumstances outside its reasonable control, including technical failure, platform failure, fraud, abuse, legal or regulatory issues, supply issues or events that affect the fair or proper running of the competition.
Planet B Limited will make reasonable efforts to minimise any disappointment or unfairness caused by such changes.
Plain English: If something serious happens that affects the competition, we may need to change, pause or cancel it. We will try to be fair if that happens.
30. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with the competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Plain English: English law applies to the competition.
31. Acceptance of Terms
By entering the competition, entrants confirm that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Plain English: By entering, you agree to these rules.
